Start your visit with their fresh, crisp chips and guacamole, or indulge in Veronica’s Nachos—an irresistible stack of flour tortillas layered with chile verde that brings a deliciously spicy twist. Heavy and fulfilling lunch! The plate was massive with burrito, rice/beans and enchiladas. Tasted very authentic, will come back!
When we got there we got seated quickly. The food was very good. My 2 little girls (6&7)don't eat anyone's rice anywhere. Only mine! They cleaned the plate. That's how you know it's good when the little ones clean their plates.
This place is old school its been the same since I was young. Always going to get a great meal and leave full coming here. The Micheladas are bomb and the food will always be fresh. Yeah there might be a wait yeah the restaurant is small okay but the food is bomb. Like come on now. You know for the amount of people the servers and cooks cook for they get ish done. Fr. Worth the wait and not even expensive like that.
our family has eaten here for over 25 years. always the same consistent , wonderful food. nice helpful staff . Their unusual , homemade gravy they pour on the tamales is so wonderful , it will make a tamale lover out of anyone ! They no longer automatically bring unlimited chips and salsa to everyone who walks in and sits down , but thank God they were able to still keep the prices down by doing this.. I have been living in the same house at Bass Lake for 50 years now. my husband was living in it for 75 years except that he died one year ago. in our land of rain, snow and mud we like to let our trucks get really dirty and then we eat at Country Fare and by the time we are are finished eating it's done . you pay for the car wash but your car or truck is clean and shiny. it looks like a brand new vehicle waiting for you. no car wash in town can compare with the car wash you'll get here , all by hand and no machinery. we like to avoid peak hours and the line , so we will drop in at 1:30 or 4:30 when there is no line.. if we want to eat at peak hours and have lots of errands to run in Fresno, then we simply get takeout orders and go drive around a short ways and park under a shade tree along the street to eat our food. it is still wonderful ...( we call in our orders on the cell phone and by the time we get there in 10 or 15 minutes , it is ready and bagged and waiting on the counter. be sure and pick up extra salsa which is 4 for a dollar. Each order will give you enough leftovers to eat at home for the next couple days .)
This is the first time we have been there in quite a long time. We came for the amazing micheladas and food. We ordered the chili colorado breakfast, which included potatoes, beans, and two eggs anyway you like them. We also had two shredded beef tacos with an enchilada which included rice and beans and tortillas (Corn or flour) The michelada came with a fresh stick of celery, fresh tasting shrimp and a juicy lemon, the flavor was amazing. We bought chips and salsa for a little over 5 dollars, worth it! Salsa was flavorful and chips were fresh and crisp. Staff were friendly and so attentive. We will be back
We love this restaurant been coming here for years. My favorite combo is the #9 the hot sauce is .Prices are the best in town. Be sure to sign in. Food is great! Best crispy Taco shells in Fresno! They should sell there hot sauce in bottles to go! Lots of families eat here.
